This Privacy Policy explains how Ruth Oneya Illustrations LLC, doing business as Art Gola ("Art Gola", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit artgola.com, create an account, apply for an artist membership, or contact an artist through the Platform.
Account information: when you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, and sign in credentials, which are managed through our authentication provider.
Artist application and profile information: when you apply for or maintain an artist membership, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, business name, bio, location, service area, pricing, portfolio images, experience, and links.
Client inquiries: when you contact an artist through the Platform, we collect the information you provide in the inquiry, such as your name, contact details, and event details, so it can be delivered to the artist.
Payment information: membership payments are processed by Stripe. Art Gola does not store full card numbers. We receive limited information from Stripe, such as payment status, the last digits of the card, and subscription status.
Saved artists: if you choose to sync your saved artists across devices, we collect the email address you provide for that purpose.
Usage data and device information: we collect information about how the site is used, such as pages visited, searches performed, general device and browser information, your IP address, and approximate location derived from your IP address for search relevance, including through cookies and local storage as described below.
We use the information we collect to operate the Platform; display artist profiles; deliver client inquiries to artists; process membership applications and payments; send transactional emails such as application updates and purchase confirmations; respond to questions and reports; understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it; protect the security and integrity of the Platform; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations. We may also send occasional marketing and product update emails, such as launch news and platform updates for listed artists. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out does not affect transactional emails such as receipts and application updates.
Public profile information: artist profiles, including the name, business information, location, pricing, portfolio, and other details an artist chooses to display, are publicly visible on the Platform and may appear in search engine results. Artists control what appears on their profile through their account.
With artists you contact: when you send an inquiry, the information in the inquiry is shared with the artist so they can respond.
With service providers: we share information with providers that perform services on our behalf, as listed below. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
For legal reasons: we may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Art Gola, our users, or others.
Business transfers: if Art Gola is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Art Gola uses the following providers to operate the Platform: Lovable Cloud (Supabase) for hosting, authentication, database, file storage, and serverless functions; Stripe for payment processing and subscription billing; Postmark for transactional email delivery; Google Maps for location search and map display; and Google Analytics for aggregate usage measurement.
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, keep the site working as you move between pages, and remember preferences such as saved artists and recently viewed pages. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate, such as which pages and searches are popular. This information is used to improve the platform, not to build advertising profiles, and Google processes limited data on our behalf. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies. We keep personal information while your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your profile and associated personal information from our active systems within thirty (30) days. We may retain limited information where required by law or reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes, including tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, enforcement, and records maintained by our payment processor.
You can review and update your account and profile information through your account settings, and you can delete your account through your account settings as described in the Terms of Service. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message. You can control cookies and local storage through your browser settings as described in the Cookie Policy. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Art Gola accounts are limited to users 18 and older, as described in our Terms of Service. Art Gola is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@artgola.com.
Art Gola is operated from the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the date above and provide notice where required by law.
