Copyright Policy

Copyright Policy

Art Gola · artgola.com · Effective August 1, 2026 · Version 2

1. Ownership of Artist Work

Artists retain full copyright in the original artwork and images they submit to Art Gola. By uploading content, an artist grants Art Gola a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, resize, format, and promote that content as reasonably necessary to operate the Platform and the artist's profile, as described in the Terms of Service. This license does not transfer ownership.

2. Client and Event Photography

Photographs taken at events, including images of an artist's work in progress or completed pieces, may be owned by the photographer or subject to the terms of the event. Artists should only upload event photographs they took themselves or have permission to use, and should credit photographers where credit is required.

3. Third Party Content

Do not upload artwork, photographs, or other content that you do not own or do not have permission to use. This includes reference images downloaded from the internet without a license, screenshots of other artists' portfolios, stock imagery used outside the terms of its license, and trademarks, brand marks, or event logos used without permission. Uploading another person's work without authorization violates this policy and the Terms of Service, and may result in removal of the content and action against the account.

4. Reporting a Copyright Concern

If you believe content on Art Gola infringes your copyright, email hello@artgola.com with: identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed; the location of the material on the Platform, such as the profile or page URL; your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number; a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and your physical or electronic signature. We will review notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the identified material.

5. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed in response to a copyright notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or that you have the right to use the content, you may send a counter-notice to hello@artgola.com with: identification of the removed material and its prior location; your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district, or for the district where Art Gola is located if you are outside the United States, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice; and your physical or electronic signature. If a valid counter-notice is received, we may restore the material unless the original claimant files a court action within the period provided by law.

6. Repeat Infringers

Art Gola may suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly alleged to infringe the copyrights of others.
